Well-minded persons introduce regularly rare plant species into nature without taking the origin of the plant material or the ecological conditions of the introduction site into account. Such initiatives can cause a genetic alteration of the native species and may, in certain cases, even diminish the survival chances of species already threatened by extinction.

The CPS-SKEW has composed short Recommendations (in German, French and Italian), based on the "Guidelines to be followed in the design of plant conservation or recovery plans" of the Council of Europe.
